Phillip Allen Roberts, 62, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 in Dallas, Oregon. Phillip was born in Portland, Oregon. Phillip was retired from Georgia Power after 18 years of service and was a member of Savannah Christian Church. Phillip and his wife lived in Vidalia, GA for 20 years prior to moving to Savannah.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Roberts, of Savannah. They enjoyed sailing and spending time with family. He was a natural born leader with a heart of compassion that touched many lives. His death was sudden and unexpected. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his mother, Florence Roberts, of Oregon, daughters, Sherry Kenny Hickmon, Kristen Zachary Tomlin, brothers, Wayne Maria Fe Roberts, David Diane Roberts, Paul Ann Marie Roberts, and grandchildren, Amber and Teylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Roberts, and brother, Mark Roberts.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Private burial will be in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
Remembrances may be made to "Gospel For Asia" Missions Fund, 1800 Golden Trail Ct., Carrollton, Texas 75010.
